We are delighted to welcome visitors to The Maggie Fleming Animal Hospice and The Karass Sanctuary. We have an open door policy and we invite you to come and meet everyone who lives here!

We do Hospice and Sanctuary tours on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1st March until 31st October. Tours begin at 1pm and last approximately 2 hours. We do individual tours rather than open days to give the best experience for visitors, and to reduce stress on our residents. We think that an individual experience is better all-round, as you will feel more relaxed being with your own friends and family and you will have a better quality interaction with the folk who live here.

You will be interacting closely with companion and farmed animals during your visit and you will be asked to comply with our biosecurity procedures, so please wear clothes you don't mind getting muddy and wellingtons that can be dipped in a foot bath before entering and leaving the Hospice and Sanctuary. You will be asked to read guidance notes and complete an indemnity form before your visit starts, and to follow the guidance notes carefully to keep you and everyone else safe. Please do not eat or bring to eat any animal products during your visit. If you'd like to bring treats for the folk who live her, tips on likes and dislikes are included in the guidance notes. Thanks!
